Hello von Norwegen, and some ABS questions

I have just bought my first Corvette (and Amcar), a 1998 C5 Convertible.
One of the first things I find out is that the ABS aggregat/unit is obsolete with GM, so it's not possible to buy new any more. Mine is luckily ok, but I want to be sure to get this fixed if it brakes
Since you Germans are known for your technical skills, I wanted to check if you know if someone has found a sollution for fixing these?
In USA it's commonly accepted that the only way to fix this now is to get hold of a used unit on e-bay or salvage yard or something.

I'm thinking of just getting a used unit to have just in case, but if someone would find a solltion to fix it I could save that money...

Unfortunately I don't have a sufficient answer to your question

But hey: a Corvette only responds to the gas pedal. Why use the brakes? They are just optional. As you might know: to brake is fear...
