C5 Fehlercodes auslesen

Bei der C5 lassen sich gegenüber der C6/C7 ohne technische Hilfmittel Fehler gut selber auszulesen.

Fehlermeldungen im DIC
(Driver Information Center) checken.
1 – Bedienung und Auslesen der DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)
Allerdings ist auch diese Prüfung natürlich mit der gebotenen Vorsicht zu genießen, insbeson-
dere dann, wenn kein Eintrag auszulesen ist. Alle Codes können auch jederzeit aus dem
Diagnose-System gelöscht werden.

Diese Information stellt lediglich eine Kurzanleitung in Deutsch zum Auslesen der »Diagnostic
trouble codes (DTC)« dar. Der präzise Wortlaut folgt auf den nächsten Seiten in Englisch, da einser-
seits deren exakte Bedeutung schwierig zu ermitteln ist – selbst »C5-Kenner« im US-Forum wissen
oft keinen Rat – und andererseits nur die GM-Werkstätten den jeweiligen Fehler beheben können.
Abzulesen sind die Informationen im DIC-Display, mittig über der Lenksäule, wo nach der ersten
Drehung des Zündschlüssels die Begrüßung abläuft »CORVETTE ... BY CHEVROLET«.
Der »diagnostic display«-Modus wird mit der folgenden Prozedur ausgelöst:

1. Zündung einschalten – den Motor aber nicht starten.
2. Falls irgendwelche Meldungen im DIC erscheinen: mit der Taste
RESET
wegdrücken
– so oft drücken, bis im DIC-Display keine Meldungen mehr anzeigt.
3. Mit einem Finger die Taste
OPTIONS
halten und mit einem weiteren Finger innerhalb einer
Periode von 10 Sekunden, die Taste
FUEL
fünfmal drücken.
4. Jetzt erscheint die Meldung »MANUELLE DIAGNOSE« bzw. »MANUAL DIAGNOSTICS«
Es gibt insgesammt 11 sogenannter Module durch die man blättern kann. Jedes dieser Module
beinhaltet die möglicherweise vorhandenen »Fehlercodes«. Man kann sich das bildlich vorstel-
len, wobei das Modul einen »Ordner« darstellt und die »Fehlercodes« die jeweiligen enthaltenen
»Dateien« sind.
5. Durch alle Module blättert man
– vorwärts mit der Taste
OPTIONS
– rückwärts mit der Taste
TRIP
6. Innerhalb eines Moduls blättert man in den Fehlercodes
– vorwärts mit der Taste
GAGES
– rückwärts mit der Taste
FUEL
7. Möchte man anschließend zum nächsten Modul, einfach die Taste
OPTIONS
drücken.
8. Verlassen des Diagnose-Programms mittels der Taste
E/M
.
– Codes mit Endung »H« (History) werden gesetzt, sofern der Fehler von Soll-Werten älter als fünf
Start-Zyklen ist.
– Codes mit Endung »C« (Current) werden gesetzt, wenn der Fehler ein erstes Mal auftritt und nicht
älter ist als fünf Start-Zyklen.
– Wird die »C«-Fehlermeldung älter als erwähnte fünf Zyklen, wird der Statuscode automatisch
auf »H« gesetzt

Ist ja sehr interessant, vielen Dank für die Mühe. Allerdings kann der normale Durchschnittsbürger mit den Fehlercodes ja wenig anfangen, da er oft deren Bedeutung nicht richtig erfassen kann, bzw. die Behebung des Fehlers nicht selbst durchführen kann. Es bleibt dann also nur der Gang zur Fachwerkstatt als einzig richtigen Weg,

Ich sehe sowohl Opel als auch VW.
Die Vette hat viel mehr Fehlercodes als die anderen beiden Marken.
Da ist schon eine gute Basis vorhanden.

Schwierig wird es erst, wenn ein Fehler auftritt , der nicht als Code hinterlegt ist.
Schon öfter erlebt bei den billig Marken.

Moin zusammen,

die Fehlercodes sind mit dem SHOP MANUAL (3 Bücher) ausgezeichnet zu verwenden,
denn mein Buch 2 besteht fast nur Fehlercodeanalyse, die sehr gründlich und ausführlich ist.
Da findet man eigentlich alle Fehler, die auftreten, oder auftreten können.

Und dann noch das Grundwissen und die Erfahrung der hier anwesenden Corvettfreunde und fast alles ist lösbar.

ansonsten einfach den fehlercode mal bei google eingeben "code c5 corvette" oder so und da findet man im .com forum fast immer was.
